Next Gen, Reboot, Windows 8

Supposedly this post focusing on my let say, review and rant for windows 8 but lately a lot of issues especially yesterday if the rumor prove to be true caught my attention. First let me review and rant about what I bought last week.

I think its better I buy this Ultrabooks but there is a lot to buy at that time.

A month ago, 1/12/2013 to be exact I lost a laptop when I carelessly put the bag around a public place and when someone is careless, some bad things can happen and unfortunately, my laptop was missing. Since I am working now, the laptop much important to me compare to when I am at home playing video-games so I am bound to buy a new laptop. Fast-forward to three weeks later, I bought a new laptop similar to my previous laptop of blue color and still from Asus with Windows 8 as its OS but what intrigued me was my conversation with the seller. I knew that Windows 8 are a bit unstable so I asked him whether the OS is stable or not. It since been a few months Windows 8 has released. What the seller say although a bit hesitant was the system has stable enough. Since I had the money, my need for acquiring a laptop drives me to bought the laptop. After a installing so much inside the HDD, Windows has this random lag, okay that maybe because I am opening multiple application so I closed all of it and it still happened. That however, was not the best part, the best part was the Chrome is resetting themselves while they are freezing and when I minimizes the window, Chrome closed itself. When I open a new session, randomly the previous session will open in a new window and that frustrated me. Even now as I write this post, it still happen and I use Chrome only, there is no other active apps other than Asus functions. Why the seller said it was stable while its clearly is not. I tell you why its called marketing strategy and yeah I fall really hard on that trick. The best Windows of all times bs he throwing at us. Oh, just as you know, there is no start button, how cool is that. All you have to do is just drag your pointer to the corner and the menu will pop out and choose windows logo and the menu is… let me say it, it was terrible. I mean you want to enter a desktop screen, you have to choose them every time you start up a computer. Cool is it? Na-uh, uncool bro… What wrong with normal start button? Apparently there is no start button in tablet. If you want to do that, just develop Windows 8 for tablets or ultrabooks crap, leaves normal laptop alone okay?

Moving on, apparently IGN has conducted an interview with one of the most essential staff of Capcom saying that Resident Evil may go back to its original roots. A possible reboot you say? It may well be but on a happy note, there is no more Call of Duty action doing their influence on Resident Evil games. Look into what Resident Evil: Racoon City mess has done to the series. Seriously, these developers need to learn what happen if you give a franchise to foreign company. Anyway, with Resident Evil: Revelation will be release on main console and also Resident Evil 2 is rumor to be a HD remakes, this is maybe the step Capcom takes to reintroducing back the old formula to newer fans. I got to say this is a great moves if it is realize because to tell you the truth, I felt RE franchise is getting less scarier than the first three or four if you count RE: Veronica Code or Resident Evil: Zero. Resident Evil 4 is where the franchise is not scary anymore. RE4 is more to annoyance though because you need to watched for Ashley. RE6 just as I posted before, only Leon’s level have that kind of feeling, until you past the cave level. I say it is impossible to reboot the franchise because of one particular reason, with all of its spin-off and so on, it is kind of pointless when you created a story and in the middle of the story, you decide to reboot the whole story and left the previous one without an ending. I am strongly agree with them going to its original root but please never leaves them in a hand of gaijin company. It take me to leave a franchise because of this act.

PS3 or PS4? Hard to decide.

IGN also give me a bad news, but a good news for others I guess. Final Fantasy Versus 13 is rumored to be release on next-generation consoles. I mean, I am a bit disappointed a bit to say at least but this kinda thing is to be expected. With a glorious graphic power offered in the trailer and the delay after delay say it all. I say I am not surprised by this news at all. A bit disappointed but not surprised. Maybe Versus will be rename to Final Fantasy XV for all we know. It seems like Lightning Returns is my last Final Fantasy after all. Only one thing I can say, don’t make a future ‘Fabula Crystal’ whatever things anymore. If I have say what led Final Fantasy to its fall is this. Makes a promise that three Final Fantasy XIII will be in one series which comprised of original XIII, Versus XIII and Agito XIII and none of them was true aside from Final Fantasy XIII. Agito was renamed as Final Fantasy Type 0 and Versus is nowhere to be found after 6, 7 years after the announcement. Maybe Square Enix is trolling us after all that Final Fantasy XIII is what going to be in that trilogy instead of Versus and Type-0. Man, I hate Motomu Toriyama. I bet the happy ending he promised to the players is what happy to him and not to us. I hate to see one of my favorite franchise going to the gutter but until Toriyama is gone, I fail to see Final Fantasy will rise again to its former glory.
